We are really down to the wire. And we still don’t have the pre-certification from the insurance company. It is nail biting time.
Basically, the insurance co is saying they don’t have all the documents they need, the doctor’s office is saying they sent them three times already. I am leaning toward believing the doctor’s office on this one.
But, I need the doctor’s office to hound the insurance company until the pre-cert comes through. So I ended up e-mailing the doctor directly. He assured me he will make sure his secretary stays on top of things and we will touch base again tomorrow.
Other than that, we are in a holding pattern right now. I am out of town on business, which I was hoping would keep me busy and my mind off things. So far that hasn’t been working out so well!
A big rock hit my windshield yesterday with Toes in the car. I saw the rock coming, flinched, heard a loud “BANG!”, and then felt glass spray all over me. I immediately looked behind me to see if Toes was OK and she was busy happily pointing at trees and saying “Nguh!” She only had a few little pieces of glass on her. Obviously, the noise didn’t get to her.
So, DadtoToes is dealing with getting a broken windshield fixed while single-parenting. But at least we are both OK.
